llueve en mexico
m: i am packing for oaxaca, as i leave for the airport in four hours (2:30 a.m. yikes!) i suppose packing is necessary for travel. i haven’t quite gotten the whole pack-in-advance thing down.
me and last minute are friends. we despise each other and find one another in quite a tizzy when we meet.
here we are. tizzied.
in an email from dave nellis:
i’m leaving the birthplace of rain to spend time in one of the infamously hottest, sunniest places of the world during their rainy season.
pretty awesome.
oh don’t you worry dave nellis. my rain jacket is now actually stitched to the back of my neck for use at any moment. they’ve reduced surgical costs here and this type of cosmetic surgery is covered by health insurance.
and bug spray. it’s a good thing there are also fierce mosquitos in india. i have some leftover repellent that only partially spilled out onto my suitcase. i like to think of this as pre-planning for my trip. now, when i throw my clothes in (as that’s what i do) they’ll already have a nice coating to keep the beasts away.
i must start packing. am thrilled to go. you wouldn’t know it because my physical response to this type of excitement is feeling like someone punched me in the stomach with a baseball bat. that has spears on the end. and is on fire.
pictures and stories to come.
adios. nos amo.
