The world didn’t end

Stotesbury Cup Regatta. Philadelphia, PA.

AND I witnessed my first regatta in the same day. Take that Harold!

A regatta is something I’ve always wanted to watch. It’s not so much a common affair in Texas, mostly because it doesn’t involve beer or football. There were 176 high schools and 868 boats, making it the largest high school regatta in the world. Whoever runs the show had done it a time or two. Everything was well run and on time, creating a certain cadence to the regatta, which was full of ceremony, rituals and of course, porta-potties. I should probably go wash my hands since they ran out of soap at 10 a.m. If the world didn’t end because of an early Judgement day via H. Camping, I’m surely going to perish from the collection of germs on my hands.

Goodbye for now. I hope you had a good non-Judgement day, also known as Saturday.
